Chiropractors Sue

New Jersey chiropractors are going to court to block new auto insurance reform regulations aimed at reducing rates by 15 percent next year. Pennsauken-based Chiropractic America contends in a federal lawsuit that car accident victims would be denied adequate treatment under Governor Whitman's insurance reform law. Doctors say victims of whiplash and other injuries won't get the care they need and would limit doctor visits to just four. The law signed in May outlines what tests and treatments are necessary -- and which ones aren't. Whitman administration officials say the rules are necessary to crack down on fraudulent claims and would not compromise patient care.
