Murder Sentence

A Norwalk man who stabbed and bludgeoned to death a 77-year-old convicted sex offender last year will spend the next 30 years behind bars. William Pace, 38, was sentenced Wednesday in Superior Court. Pace had pleaded guilty to killing Micahel Bonello of Norwalk in November 1997. Prosecutors say Price wanted to get money from his victim. When Bonello refused, Pace struck him in the head with a rock and stabbed him with a kitchen knife, prosecutors said. At the time of his death, Bonello was on probation for fondling a child.
