Internet Murder

They met over the Internet and had an affair that led to the death of her husband. Now Ruth Stabler will join her on-line lover in prison. Stabler has pleaded guilty to helping her lover cover up her husband's murder last year. She pleaded guilty in a Kingston courtroom to hindering prosecution, in return for a deal keeping her in prison for 16 months before being eligible for parole. Roger Stabler died from a single gunshot fired by Frank Dobson, who was Mrs. Stabler's lover. She and Dobson carried the body out of the Stabler's Plattekill home and dumped it in a creek ten miles away. Dobson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder two weeks ago. He took a plea deal in the middle of his trial after learning Mrs. Stabler would not testify on his behalf.
