Concord Closing

It's the end of an era in the Catskills. The Concord Resort Hotel in Kiamesha Lake closed on Tuesday after 63 years in business. Four hundred people are now without jobs and for those who lived at the resort, they are now homeless. The resort filed for bankruptcy, but hasn't been able to minimize the 20 million dollar debt. Employees have until next Friday to vacate the bungalows hotel. Many of the employees have worked there for decades and are sad to be leaving. Co-owner Robert Parker was upset and thanked everyone for sticking it out thoughout the years. The Concord was known throughout the world for it's famous entertainment and fine cuisine. It has been owned by the same family since it opened.
