Bridge Death

There is still no more information on the death of a woman on the George Washington Bridge. Newark police are trying to pick up the trail of the carjacking suspect. John Magee's girlfriend was found shot to death in the abandoned vehicle on the George Washington Bridge Tuesday. Police say Magee stole the car from an 84-year-old acquaintance. An armed security guard opened fire and authorities believe his bullet struck and killed the unidentified woman. David Alicea told police he feared for the life of Maurice Troutman, who grabbed onto the window and hung on as Magee allegedly drove off. Troutman was treated for minor bruises. The Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office is scheduled to perform an autopsy on the woman's body.
