Remembering Our Heroes

Veteran's day is Wednesday and RNN has team coverage of events throughout our region. We will provide the story of a congressional medal of honor winner in New Jersey and his heroic story of battle in World War 1. Also in New Jersey a man continues his vigil in a bambo cage to show people how veterans survived in times of war. RNN reporters will bring you to New York State and Connecticut where veterans are commemorating the day with services and ceremonies. In related veteran's news, Orange and Rockland Utilities is trying to remind veterans of a new state law. A change in New York Public Service Law says that nonprofit veteran's groups can use residential utility rates instead of commercial rates for their meetings. Orange and Rockland will determine the eligibility of each group and once that is established, O&R will see if the group can save money by switching to residental rates.
