A restaurant has agreed to pay damages to waitresses from a sexual harassment suit. The Benihana Restaurant chain has agreed to pay 130-thousand dollars in back pay and damages to four waitresses who claimed they were fired after they rebuffed a manager's sexual advances. The four women worked at the Benihana Restaurant in Manhasset, Long Island. They claim they were sexually harrassed by manager Fadi Ajam. The lawsuit in U-S District Court in Uniondale says the
woman were promised promotions in exchange for sex. The women said they were fired after rebuffing his advances. As part of the settlement, Benihana says it will train its human resources personnel to investigate sexual harrassement claims.
