Police Office Unstaffed

There's a shakeup in state police services in Putnam County. Troop K Major James Schepperly says the Brewster state police office may be unstaffed for certain periods of the day, so the officer can patrol the ro in Putnam on September First, fewer calls are being made to the barracks. He says if the officer is out, a call to the Brewster barracks will be answered by a dispatcher. Putnam Sheriff Robert Thoubboron says 9-1-1 is allowing police to get more cars on the road, which will reduce response time to emergency calls.
