Police brass may be cracking down on a ticket writing slowdown by cops on the beat, but that's not stopping the protest.
One anonymous cop told WCBS Newsradio 88 that he's been "unofficially" instructed by his superiors to meet quotas by issuing traffic tickets that can be easily challenged by motorists or waved by the courts. Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Safir says his crackdown on the ticket slowdown is working, and that ticket writing is up 20 percent.
