Eldery AIDS Cases On The Rise

By Newsradio 88 Staff

AIDS is often thought of as a young peoples disease. But an increasing number of people over 50 are being diagnosed with H-I-V.

The New York Times says eleven-percent of the new cases diagnosed in 1995 were people over 50. That number is 15-percent here in New York City.
