Racism In The Marhsals Office

The U-S Marshals Service is riddled with blatant and sometimes violent racism.

The New York Post's investigation found that 264 of the 292 deputy marshals hired last year were white. Overall, the Service's work force is 79-percent white.

In the New York City area, only 15 of the 146 deputy marshals are minorities.

In New Jersey, just four of 45 deputies are minority members and they are black.

And some black deputies say their white counterparts set them up for beatings by prison inmates.
