By Newsradio 88 Staff

In a surprising development, it's been learned that the family of an 11-year old girl who's body was found floating in the East River is now the subject of the murder investigation.

You may recall that Quin-Rong Wu's mother said she had walked her to school in Chinatown letting her walk the final block by herself. She never made it to school, and her body turned up in the river about a week later. The Medical Examiner says she had been strangled.

The girl's parents reportedly had another child back in China who died under mysterius circumstances. They also have a 17-year old who lives with them in Chinatown.
