Amy Fisher went before a parole board hoping to be released from an upstate prison.
Fisher, who is now 22-years old, is serving the fourth year of a five to 15 year sentence at the Albion Correctional Facility. She was convicted of shooting Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the face back in 1992. The shooting occurred after Fisher had an affair with the woman's ex-husband, Joey Buttafuoco.
The parole board is expected to decide by the end of this week whether Fisher would be released in August. If the request is denied, Fisher won't be eligible for parole for another two years.
