By Newsradio 88 Staff

Heat isn't the only thing that's taking its toll on New Jerseyans today.

The Environmental Protection Department predicts air quality could approach unhealthful levels in the Northern and Southern Coastal, and the Central and Southern Delaware Valley regions of the state.

The very young, the very old and those who suffer from respiratory ailments should exercise caution outside.

Officials will issue an air quality advisory if ozone levels become high later in the day.
