Jones Beach Box Office Manager Indicted

By Newsradio 88 Staff

A former Jones Beach theater box-office manager has been indicted for an alleged ticket scalping scheme at the theater.

You may remember last summer when more than 500 tickets for two Hootie and the Blowfish concerts were mysteriously diverted to ticket scalpers.

Joseph Nekola's lawyer says he'll plead not guilty when he surrenders today.

When the band discovered that the best tickets in the house had been sold to scalpers before they officially went on sale to fans, it canceled the scalped tickets and reissued new ones through ticketmaster.
