High School Football Captain Accused Of Rape

The captain of a Bergen County high school football team is in a lot of trouble, just days before graduation.

Eighteen year old Matthew Bauer, a senior at Northern Highlands Regional High School, is charged with raping a drunken, unconscious girl during a house party last month.

He was released on 12-thousand-500 dollars bail after being charged with sexual assault and attempted aggravated assault yesterday.

Bauer is due to go to Lycoming college in central Pennsylvania in the fall.

Bauer is also accused of trying to run down two teens in an unrelated incident in Upper Saddle River last week.
