For the fourth time this month a baby abandoned and left in the garbage has been found in New Jersey, this time in Edison. The baby girl, about one month short of full term and believed to be Asian-Caucasian, was found in the trash outside a library after children heard her cries yesterday morning. Edison police say the baby is doing fine at a local hospital, but they're still looking for the mother.
On May 26th a teen from Pennsylvania gave birth at a condo in Ventnor and stuffed the little one in a gym bag. Then an 18-year old Forked River student gave birth at her high school prom June sixth and left the baby to die in a bathroom. and last week, a 19-year old Jersey City woman was facing charges of child endangermentafter giving birth, leaving the newborn in her family's garage, then passing out inside the house.
