Walls collapsed as a five-alarm fire tore through a church in the Bronx overnight, breaking through the second and third floors.
It took 200 firefighters to tame the fire at the St. Phillip Nearee Church on Grand Concourse.
There were minor injuries suffered by civilians and firefighters.
Parishioners gathered around the church and watched helplessly as it was destroyed.
New York City fire officials say as of 1:57 a.m. the fire was under control, and all units left the scene.
The Church is considered completely destroyed.
