Assembly To Vote On NJ Property Tax Freeze

The Assembly budget committee today is scheduled to act on Assembly Speaker Jack Collins' $18 million proposal to freeze property taxes for elderly homeowners on fixed incomes.

The Senate budget committee is scheduled to take up Governor Whitman's proposal to permit an income-tax deduction for money invested in college savings plans.
