Federal Prosecutors May Seek The Death Penalty For Head OfBronx Gang

They haven't asked for the death penalty in 40 years.

But the New York Times reports federal prosecutors in Manhattan are seeking the death penalty against a little-known gang leader who ran a multi-million dollar crack cocaine ring.

Charles Heatley, the alleged head of the Bronx gang knows as the Preacher Crew, is charged with nine murders during the course of a major drug trafficking operation.
