Consumer Price Index Edges Down In New Jersey

Consumer prices in the Northeastern New Jersey area are down 0.2 percent in May, says the federal government.

A U.S. official says the decline is related to lodging and clothing, and such a downward move is typical of Spring.

The CPI is up 2.1 percent compared to this time last year.
