Contractors Nailed On Shoddy Home Repairs In Nassau

By Newsradio 88 Staff

Contractors in Nassau County are being charged, after complaints of shoddy home repairs prompted prosecutors to charge 46 people with doing business without a license, reports WCBS' Jody Fisher.

The contractors face up to a $1,000 fine and a year in jail if convicted.

According to District Attorney Denis Dillon, homeowners should always make sure contractors are licensed with the Consumer Affairs Department before signing anything.
