Today could be one of the most dramatic days of the seven-week Megan Kanka trial.
The little girl's father, Richard Kanka, will try to persuade the jury that Jesse Timmendequas should die for killing his seven year old daughter.
Kanka will actually make his plea twice, the first time in an unusual dress rehearsal with the jury out of the courtroom to make sure he does not break down and unduly influence the jury.
If he passes that test, he will be allowed to tell the jury what his daughter Megan meant to her family and friends.
Then, Timmendequas will be allowed to plead with the jury for his life.
