Good news for Long Island schoolkids.
The state education dept has decided to extend a state scholarship deadline for three school districts that failed to submit paperwork on time.
The snafu would have resulted in close to two dozen kids losing out on a shot at state scholarship money.
The decision follows a day of questions about who was at fault. The state said the schools had failed to meet the filing deadline for the scholarship grants. The schools complained they got the forms late and couldn't possibly have submitted them on time.
