Alex Kelly Rape Victim Comes Forward

By Newsradio 88 Staff

Throughout the Alex Kelly rape trial, she's simply been known as "the alleged victim."

Now she has a name.

Adrienne Bak Ortolano is the woman who accused Alex Kelly of raping her eleven years ago, when she was a 16-year old. Kelly was convicted of that rape last week.

Ortolano told the Associated Press the rape was the worst moment of her life. And when she heard that guilty verdict in court, she thought, quote, "Thank God, thank God, the world knows the truth."

Ortolano says she's coming forward to identify herself now, because she wants the world to know she has nothing to be ashamed of.
