Life is slowly returning to normal at Newark International Airport.
Public Service Electric and Gas has restarted power to the complex after a fire knocked out service this morning.
PSE&G spokesman George Koodray says some lights, escalators and air conditioning units remain off, but jetways and luggage conveyors are working, and planes can start being re-fueled now.
Electricity is out for 35,000 customers in the Union County area.
The New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 13 in Elizabeth is still a mess; drivers should check with Newsradio 88 for traffic reports before leaving, and with their airlines before heading out to Newark.
