Tampa, Fla., police have charged a guitarist for the New York medal band Anthrax with grand theft after he tried to steal an on-deck circle from Legend's Field, the spring training home of the New York Yankees.
Scott Ian Rosenfeld calls his impulsive act a ``stupid fan thing to do.'' The self-proclaimed ``really big'' Yankees fan is free on $7,500 bail after being arrested as he and a companion left the stadium. Rosenfeld and Angela Roberts had been caught by security cameras trying to drag the on-deck circle out of the facility.
The heavy foam mat, which bears the Yankees logo and is 8-feet in diameter, was too heavy and Rosenfeld had decided to leave it behind.
