Missing Long Island Boy Found In New Jersey

By Newsradio 88 Staff

Erkan Tuzcu won't be going out for bagels by himself again.

The last time the 14-year-old retarded boy left his family's Amityville home to go to the corner bagel shop, he disappeared for five days.

Yesterday, he was reunited with his family at a Woodbridge, New Jersey, facility for disabled children.

He'd apparently gotten on a Long Island Rail Road train and somehow transferred to a New Jersey Transit train. A train conductor spotted the boy Saturday and turned him over to police.

He was identified yesterday when his picture was flashed on television.
