Former Publisher Of New Yorker Sues Magazine Over Firing
By Newsradio 88 Staff
The former publisher of The New Yorker is suing her boss, saying she was
fired because he didn't like that she was pregnant.
In her suit filed in federal court yesterday, Diane Silberstein says the
magazine's president Thomas Florio slashed her 340-thousand dollar
salary
nearly in half after she told him last November she was pregnant.
Her job was then downsized and seven weeks later she was fired.
