Fire At JFK Gives Passengers A Scare

By Newsradio 88 Staff

A small fire in a mechanical room forced evacuations early this morning at a terminal at Kennedy International Airport. The fire broke out 4:45 this morning inside T-W-A terminal Number six.

Officials say smoke wafting up through an elevator shaft forced evacuations from the building's second level. There were no reported injuries, and the fire was out by 5:45 a-m. Arrivals and departures have not been affected.
