Victim's Families Plan To Protest "Capeman" Musical

By Newsradio 88 Staff

Demonstrators will be picketing outside the Marriott Marquis Theatre when previews start for a controversial new Broadway musical tonight.

It's Paul Simon's "Capeman" that tells the story of notorious teen-age killer Salvatore Agron in Hell's Kitchen in 1959.

Family and friends of the stabbing victims are angry the playground murders have been made into a musical and promise to protest along with members of "Parents of Murdered Children. "

The show's organizers say the musical is more like a documentary and does not celebrate the murders or the murderer.
