Student arrested is from Manhattan.
He apparently set some paper towels on fire with a match. School did not have a sprinkler system.
Authorities arrested a 17-year-old boy on Thursday and charged him with setting a fire that gutted a school earlier in the day, reports Newsradio 88.
The teen was charged with several offenses, including aggravated arson and criminal mischief.
He was in custody at the Bergen County juvenile detention center and was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Friday.
