The New York City teen suspected of setting fire to a Westwood, New Jersey school pled innocent today to charges including arson and criminal mischief, reports Newsradio 88.
The 17-year-old is accused of intentionally starting a fire yesterday in a second-floor bathroom of the Westwood Community School that gutted the building.
Bergen County Assistant Prosecutor Ralph Lilore would not comment on a motive or how the fire was started.
The teen, a student at the school for the learning disabled, remains in custody. His 130 classmates had today off as officials hunt for a new school building.
